Schreiber offers numerous programs for families and their children. Each is a quality program, tailored to the individual needs of the children enrolled. Below is a list of the programs we offer.
Preschool
Our Preschool emphasis on language and social development is geared toward promoting critical skills for your child's educational future. Our experienced staff focuses on the total growth of each individual child, and plans activities which have purpose and meaning, while creating opportunities for communication between parents, teacher, and child.
Preschool classes are offered Monday through Friday, or on alternating days (depending on the age of the child by September 1). The program continues from September through May, and operates 9 a.m. – 12 noon.
Extended Day
The Extended Day program is an optional enrollment basis. Groups will be mixed from all classes of the same age to allow for optimal class sizes. Activities are developed for age-appropriate implementation.
This program is for preschool children and operates from noon until 2:20 p.m.
Learning Plus
Our Learning Plus program brings new
experiences to each child and currently includes the following:
Library
The
librarian expands curriculum and develops age
appropriate library skills for preschool children.
Weekly classes allow children to experience creative
storytelling and gain an appreciation for literature.
Music
The music
teacher directs the program for preschool children. The
weekly classes include teaching the fundamentals of
musical instruments, how our five senses relate to
music, integrating music within the classroom thematic
curriculum, learning new songs, and creative movement.
Parent's Day Out
Parent’s Day Out (PDO) is designed to be a one-day per week class. A child has the opportunity to attend Monday through Thursday. The days available for each group vary according to the school’s entire program.
Activities include learning centers, developmental skills, individual and group interaction, music, creative movement, finger plays, art, stories, and outdoor play.
The PDO Program is in session September through May and follows a 9 a.m. – 2:20 p.m. schedule. All children will have a rest period.
